Events related to Trump Erie visit Aug 12

People have been asking me about what events are going on in response to Donald Trump's Erie visit. These are the events I know about. There may be more, and of course there will be people who just will show up. There are some differences in tone and message in each of them; please read the descriptions so that you will know which is which. Because of safety and possibly abusive language etc., this really isnt an appropriate place to bring children or pets. Secret Service are working with Erie police and if they tell you some area off-limits I would strongly recommend not pushing the issue.  PRAYER VIGIL   Organized by Benedictines for Peace and Matt Ochalek.Begin at 12:30 pm SE corner 8th & French "This will be a prayer vigil. If you want to bring a homemade sign or banner, please, nothing demeaning.We will have prayer sheets and cards that we will be praying very peacefully."
 PROTEST DONALD TRUMP ERIE PA  Orgaanized by Erie Activism Noon to 3pm "We need the whole community out for this one. Let's let them know that Erie is not a safe haven for racist, sexist, islamaphobic shit heads. Once again our insurance arena letting us down by bringing symbols of violence into our city. Let's join together and show our numbers."
LOVE TRUMPS HATE PROTEST AND PRESS EVENT Organized by Dave Robinson 11:15 am "Join with others from our region to tell Mr. Trump that Erie does not support his divisive and dangerous views. Come show him Erie believes Love trumps Hate."
