"The next play at PACA Committed Citizen, written by local playwright Abbe Tanenbaum, deals with some of the most polarizing topics of our day. It opens the last two weekends on April. Apr 24 - Sister Maura Smith Earth Day Lecture: Tara Houska Taylor Little Theatre, Mercyhurst University, Erie PA.  Tara Houska will discuss the historic struggle for environmental justice over the Dakota Access Pipeline. Tara Houska is Ojibwe from Couchiching First Nation. She is a tribal attorney in Washington, D.C., the National Campaigns Director for Honor the Earth, and a founding member of NotYourMascots.org.Free and open to public.

May 6-7 - "Spirit of Freedom" picnic At John Brown Farm, Tannery & Museum  17620 John Brown Rd, in Guys Mills,PA, celebrates Brown's birthday (May 9)  John Brown was a radical abolitionist who led the raid at Harpers Ferry, Virginia on Oct. 16, 1859. A major stop on the Underground Railroad (he helped in the passing of 2,500 slaves).
