PENELEC wants to charge you a fee for not choosing an alternate electric supplier. Make your voice heard. Demand that: Suppliers state actual cost per kilowatt hour with no hidden fees or special advertising rates. Suppliers not hide enrollment, cancellation, or other fees. Contract prices must be fixed not variable and allow customers to cancel at any time DEMAND THIS ADDED CHARGE NOT BE ALLOWED

Mar 26 - Underground: Women Helping Women Erie Art Gallery, 24 W 8th, Erie PA "Join us Monday, March 26, at 6 pm at the Erie Art Gallery, 24 W 8th street. We'll have two guest speakers and discussion on the importance of support networks for women and the intersectionality of women's issues. In the spirit of women helping women, we're collecting tampons and pads to distribute local shelters and prisons. "

GUN VIOLENCE
There are several events happening 
Mar 14 - #NationalSchoolWalkout    "Women’s March Youth EMPOWER is calling for students, teachers, school administrators, parents and allies to take part in a #NationalSchoolWalkout for 17 minutes at 10am across every time zone on March 14, 2018 to protest Congress’ inaction to do more than tweet thoughts and prayers in response to the gun violence plaguing our schools and neighborhoods.” National event Facebook page    Many local schools will be having walkouts on this date. Best to check with organizers about before participating, if you are not part of that school. 

March 24 March for Our Lives  “ On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority. The collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard.”List of events around the country on their Facebook page  Erie event here, details TBA At this writing there are also events in Pittsburgh, Youngstown and Cleveland.

April 20 National High School Walkout   This event was called on Change.org by student Lane Murdock who lives close to Sandy Hook.  "On Friday, April 20th, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting I propose a National High School student walk out. Walk out of school, wear orange and protest online and in your communities. Sign the petition if you pledge to do so. Nothing has changed since Columbine, let us start a movement that lets the government know the time for change is now. #nationalschoolwalkout
