Jun 17 - "Root Causes of the Migrant Crisis: Focus on Honduras" 7 p.m. Jefferson Educational Society, Erie PA.  Presented by Tom Webb, M.A.,  a member of the Oakland Catholic Worker community and has an extensive background in human rights and social justice work for over 30 years. The March 18-25 delegation was his third trip to Honduras since 2015.
Jun 19 - "Emanuel" (2019) Tinseltown Erie, Erie PA. "Featuring intimate interviews with survivors and family members, EMANUEL is a poignant story of justice and faith, love and hate, examining the healing power of forgiveness." Marking the fourth anniversary of the Charleston SC shooting.

June 26 - Enrichment Series: "Why Poetry Matters: Poetry of Protest and Prayer" 7pm, Mount St Benedict, Erie PA.  Presenter is Bonnie Thurston, who will read from her own poetry of protest and prayer. Bonnie is an internationally known Merton scholar, author, and former professor of New Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  There will be time for questions and discussion.

Jul 13  The AmeriMasala  Perry Square, Erie PA. "Erie’s first global multi-disciplinary arts celebration. The renowned BATALA NYC all-female Afro-Brazilian samba ensemble pushes the opening UnoWE parade which features our growing tradition of community made giant body puppets and wearable arts. Cultural music, dance and food also featured. Free and open the public."

Chautauqua Cinema opens June 21
Cuyahoga50 continues in Cleveland. June is jam-packed with a wide variety of events. Year-long observance of the 50th anniversary of the June 1969 Cuyahoga Rover fire credited with sparking an environmental movement.
