Sep 13-15 Playshop Theatre: "Denied Admsission" Allegheny College Gladys Mullenix Black Theatre 520 N. Main St., Meadville, PA "tells the stories of three asylum seekers who crossed the southern border of the United States. The script is based on actual interviews with asylum seekers from Honduras, Somalia and Guatemala" Discussion follows.

Sep 17 - 'Voting Rights in America: A Constitution Day Teach-In' Mercyhurst University, Mercy Heritage Room, Sullivan Hall, on the Main Campus Discussion: 9:30 a.m. on “America’s Historic Struggle for Women’s Suffrage,”11 a.m.  "Iron Jawed Angels" (2004) with Hilary Swank as suffragist leader Alice Paul, discussion will follow; 7 p.m. "Answering the Call,"(2016) documentary that offers a moving first-hand account of “Bloody Sunday” and the struggle for the Voting Rights Act; 8:15 p.m., community leaders will speak directly and personally to the contemporary struggle for justice in defending the integrity of American elections.
