Erie group’s ‘shoe strike’ highlights climate change  (GoErie 7-24-2020) “A youth group at the Inner-City Neighborhood Art House, 201 E. 10th St., put out about 100 pairs of donated shoes to draw attention to the global climate crisis. The shoe strike took the place of a public protest due to the threat of COVID-19.“

2020 NWPA ALF Labor Day Parade is Canceled/ video project planned Video will air on Cable Access Media and Spectrum Channel 1021 on Labor Day.

HUNGER

The Second Harvest Food Bank of NWPA is now accepting food drive donations from organizations wanting to help during this difficult time. Individual and smaller amounts are being directed to City Mission. Monetary donations always welcome and they need volunteers now.
Erie Animal Network Food Pantry Set up to help people keep their pets when they're going through a temporary setback, as many are right now.

Reg Lenna Center for the Arts streaming movies, 50% of the net proceeds will go directly to The Reg. Among offerings this month is The Fight, which follows legal battles that lawyers for the ACLU are facing during the Trump administration. 
Story table Carrie, owner and operator of Novel Destination independent bookstore in Jamestown will be hosting SPROUTS tent at Jamestown Public Market 8/29 and last Saturday of month. Any child OR senior visitor can visit Carrie during market hours to share a story.and get a $2 voucher to shop for fruits and veggies. ..."
