"PHAN is joining with Voices for Independence and Senator Sean Wiley to show -- loud and clear -- that Pennsylvanians support Medicaid Expansion and will not tolerate any more delays! Lawmakers have 12 days to close a $1.3 billion budget shortfall. Accepting federal funding to expand health care coverage would bring i...n $600 million into next year's budget. There's no excuse for delay. The money is there, the need for coverage is there, it's time to act! Help us send that message this Friday! 12pm, Perry Square, Downtown Erie. In case of rain, the rally will be held at Erie City Council Chambers (626 State Street, Downtown)."

Jun 24 -  "American Experience: Freedom Summer" (9-11pm) WQLN (PBS-Erie) and WNED (PBS-Buffalo) "Over 10 memorable weeks in 1964 known as Freedom Summer, more than 700 student volunteers from around the country joined organizers and local African Americans in a historic effort to shatter the foundations of white supremacy in what was one of the nation’s most viciously racist, segregated states."

"The Thomas Merton Center Anti-Drone Warfare / Anti-War Coalition will gather to protest the continued use of drone warfare.
