Thru Sept 1 - 'Through Our Eyes' TREC, 301 Peninsula Drive; The work of four outstanding local photographers will be on display: Brian Berchtold, Steve Friel, Odis Cheatham and Larry Downey. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Aug 1 – Justice for Immigrants vigil 2nd & State Erie PA 5:15PM Organized by Erie Benedictines.

Aug 4-8 – A Week with Ken Burns Chautauqua Institution.

Aug 9 – Presque Isle Bike Tour meet at the Presque Isle cookhouse pavilion 10AM. Easy 10-mile ride covering natural and park history. Bring your own bike or rent at the concession. Info: www.trecpi.org, 833-7424.

Two Peas in a Pod With the help of other youth volunteers, twin brothers Jake and Eli Luther, 17, care for a garden on the northwest corner of West 19th and Myrtle Streets in Erie. The brothers developed this vegetable garden from an empty lot maintained by the Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network. The volunteers sell their produce at the Little Italy Farmer's Market on Monday evenings at West 16th and Walnut Streets. Video by CHRISTOPHER MILLETTE/Erie Times-News
