January 11th, 2015, marks the beginning of 14 years of torture and indefinite detention at Guantanamo. Currently, approximately 130 men remain, nearly half of whom have been cleared for release but remain held without charge or trial.
This letter writing open house will REPLACE the previously scheduled vigil. We at Mary the Apostle House decided to change the event to accommodate a local Take Back the Site vigil praying for peace on our city streets. We hope many can still join us as we reach out to detainees and policy makers with our letters.
Coffee, soup, and fellowship will be provided.
