May 24 - "The War Comes Home"  A Soledad OBrien Report. "Follows the journeys of these two young men who came home from war, and their personal battles to recover from the effects of the wars that came home with them. Showing nationwide (limited) on May 24, in Erie at Tinseltown.
May 25 – Helen Prejean at the Mount Mount St. Benedict 6101 East Lake Road, Erie PA. Sister Helen Prejean has been instrumental in sparking national dialogue on the death penalty and helping to shape the Catholic Church’s newly vigorous opposition to state executions.. Dead Man Walking is based on her life and work. She will be speaking at Mount St. Benedict as part of the Benedictines for Peace Speaker Series. Sr. Helen will sign books bought that night.  About Sister Helen
May 26 - 28 "Crowns" Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, located at 1617 E. 26th St., Erie, PA Presented by Erie Theater Company "moving and celebratory musical play in which hats become a springboard for an exploration of black history and identity as seen through the eyes of a young black woman...Hats are everywhere from the etiquette of hats to their historical and contemporary social functioning. There is a hat for every occasion, from flirting to churchgoing to funerals to baptisms, and the tradition of hats is traced back to African rituals and slavery and forward to the New Testament and current fashion."

Jun 3-5 - Green Energy Ohio Tour "This free statewide event features self-guided, guided or open house tours in all corners of the state and highlights homes, businesses, and public places that are using green technologies such as solar, wind, biomass, green design, energy efficiency and more.  "
Jun 4 - Pride Picnic Presque Isle, Rotary Pavilion, 1-6PM
Jun 4-12 - Pittsburgh Roots Pride 2016   "Roots Pride is a people-powered inclusive celebration of the entire LGBTQIA+ community. This year, we are expanding to an entire week of fellowship, healing, revolution and celebration."
Jun 5  - Kate Buczek Memorial Jazz Concert (Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Erie, 7180 Perry Highway, Erie, PA 16508) 4 PM. With Colony Trio featuring Howard Hamme, Carl Alanakian and Harry Jacobson; plus The U-Tones featuring Jackson Froman, Sonny Froman, Pat Lorei, Doug Hunsberger, Doug Russell, and Tammie Johnson. Jun 7 - "Dear President Obama" screening 'Through a special arrangement with director Jon Bowermaster, Our Water, Our Air, Our Rights and the Erie Maritime Museum will sponsor a special screening of the film “Dear President Obama” on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.  7:00 pm in the Hirt Auditorium, 160 E. Front St., Erie, PA. There will be a discussion of the issues presented in the film after the screening.' Free and open to the public.
