Aug 27 - Erie Pridefest March and rally March steps off at 1pm from Zone (18th & Sassafras), winds up at Griswold Park for festival.

- Civil Rights Investigation Underway in Violent Police Arrest (Erie News Now 7/26/2016) Department of Justice opens civil rights investigation in Erie police arrest (Your Erie 7/26/2016) "United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania David J. Hickton announced Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Justice will open a civil rights investigation on alleged brutality used by Erie police in the arrest of Montrice Bolden.'
- GEAE honors local LGBT pioneers Harry Miller and Doris Cipolla were honored at Greater Erie Alliance for Equality's 5th Afternoon for Equality June 26. The Benedictines also wrote a nice piece on Doris's recognition (Doris is an OSB oblate).
