May 29 - Women in Black marches in Meadville Memorial Day Parade Peace group will be a   "We will line up on Monday at 9:30am near the intersection of Willow and Water Streets in Meadville near St. Mary's Church. If you get off I-79 proceed over Smock Bridge (construction area), bear left to stay on Arterial Hwy. - 2nd street to the right. Water St. runs parallel to the Hwy." permitted contingent in the parade, carrying gold star flags representing fallen PA soldiers in Iraq war.

Jun 4 - Kate Buczek Memorial Concert  Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Erie 7180 Perry Hwy, Erie PA. 4-6PM. Kate was a lifelong social justice activist, who also adored and supported jazz. Free, but donations to Kate Buczek Memorial Concert Fund encouraged. Info:814-923-1155

Jun 6 - Mad Mex Benefit Dinner for PennFuture " Mad Mex, 5800 Peach Street, Erie PA (inside Millcreek Mall)  Join PennFuture’s Western PA Outreach Coordinator Annie Regan and Communications Director Stephanie Rex as we meet and mingle with other environmentally-minded individuals for dinner, drinks and conversation about the current state of our work, including protection of our water, air, and land.  Money raised from this event helps to assure we have the resources needed to advocate for the waters Erie relies on for boating, fishing, safe drinking water and more." $45. Jun 11 - Erie's Second Annual 5k Tofurky Trot Hosted by Erie Vegan Meetup Group 8:30-2PM. Frontier Park (W. 8th & Bayfront Pkwy)  "Proceeds from the 5K will be donated to Lasa Sanctuary and also to  Haven at Foxwood Farm. We will also have a fun basket raffle that will be full of a variety of items to win and proceeds will got to The Humane Society of the United States - Farm Animal Protection Campaign and Farm Sanctuary"
Jun 11 - Progress Towards Equality . Hosted by Greater Erie Alliance for Equality "An educational event in solidarity with the National Pride March movement. This free and open-to-the-public event will highlight the progress made right here in Erie, PA, and what we are still working to gain. Please join us on the county court house steps from 11-1 pm.
Jun 11 - Afternoon for Equality Hosted by Greater Erie Alliance for Equality 2-6PM 21 La Rue Dix 21 W 10th, Erie PA. "This year we will honor LGBT families and our scholarship awardees. Individual tickets are $50 for a beautiful afternoon of food, drinks, and entertainment."
Jun 13 - Eastside Grassroots Coalition Meeting   6:30pm JFK Center 2021 Buffalo Rd. "We'll be having guest speaker Jackie James-Creedon from Tonawanda, NY discuss her efforts to fight the harmful pollutants that were being emitted by the Tonawanda Coke Plant. Jun 20 - Our Water, Our Air Our Rights Steering Committee Meeting "The regular monthly meeting of our Steering Committee is held on the third Tuesday of the month at the Neighborhood Art House, E. 10th and Holland St. and is open to the public. The meetings start at 5:30PM and are usually finished by 7PM. Join us."
