SSJNN Bike Programs  Earn-a-Bike Program, Bike Recyclery, Bike Rides for Youth  To donate a bike 

BikeErie Community group for bicycle advocacy in Erie, PA.  

Lake Erie Cyclefest   July 25-28 Proceeds from 2024 rides will benefit Asbury Woods, Because You Care, Bike Erie, Erie Downtown Partnership, Northern Allegheny Mountain Bike Association and the Presque Isle Partnership.

Chautauqua County celebrates Active Transportation Week May 13-17  "local residents are being encouraged to utilize the county’s public transportation system – CHQ Transit – or simply use an alternative mode of transportation other than their personal motor vehicle. ...This will be followed up by two family-friendly Group Bicycle Rides in Jamestown and Dunkirk."

Where Hope Is: Stories of Benedictine Influence " June 30, 2024 at 2:30pm om Hirt Auditorium Blasco Memorial Library 160 East Front St. Erie, PA. $10 "new interview-based theater production by playwright Jenn Bokoch Gillett. The play reflects a snapshot-in-time - 1960s to 1980s - of the influence of the Benedictine Sisters of Erie. It is created from a dozen conversations culled from more than 60 interviews conducted by Jenn with St. Benedict Academy (SBA) alumnae, Benedictine sisters, and others whose lives were shaped and are still being shaped by the sisters."

Let Gaza Live Protest held in downtown Erie on April 27 on the 200th day since October 7. About 40 people participated in the call to mourn the lives lost in Gaza and to call for an end to the humanitarian crisis, called by Erie County United.

A right to counsel law would provide tenants with free legal representation and counseling services during major housing eviction cases. Erie County United is seeking your help to introduce a free legal representation service called right to counsel for tenants here in Erie. Live & Let Live AA meeting Live & Let Live is an LGBTQA-friendly (welcoming) AA meeting that meets every Sunday at 7 PM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1603 W 32 St,, Erie (32nd and Greengarden) Note new location. When I contacted them recently they suggested the monthly speaker meeting might be a nice way to experience the meeting for the first time if you’ve never been.
