Nov 9 – “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Powerl” (2017) 7pm Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Erie, 7180 Perry Hwy, Erie PA. Documentary about former U.S. Vice President Al Gore’s continuing mission to battle climate change. The film, a sequel to “An Inconvenient Truth” (2006), addresses the progress made to tackle the problem and Gore’s global efforts to persuade government leaders to invest in renewable energy, culminating in the landmark signing of 2016’s Paris Agreement. Free

Lake of Betrayal tells the story of loss, displacement, hope and survival as the film explores the effects on the Seneca Nation resulting from the construction of Kinzua Dam. Kinzua is said to be a powerful symbol for the Seneca and all Native Americans. Website
